Those command lines can assist by disabling IPV6 in your system: It is suspected to be caused by a Microsoft IPV6 issue. Win7 users might experience uTorrent process not closing properly. Reduce disk overhead by also enabling pref.->general->pre-allocate All Files I tried those steps from the best practice tips with no improvement: Im pretty sure the problem has to do with utorrent because unless this aplication is started after each computer reboot - the problem doesn't occur. It also happens when utorrent was running previously, and then it was closed (- utorrent.exe in the processes list is no longer showing). Im on a Windows 7 圆4 and a utorrent 3.1.3 built 26837. You can still hear it running, although can't do anything else but just pressing the power button longer for a forced shutdown. It will start closing programs, then it will dim off the screen and thats it. My problem is that each time uTorrent is running (or was running and was closed), the computer will not shut down or hibernate properly.
